memorable night.
Tuesday, July 28, 20096:11 PM
I had a super fun night yesterday.
Thanks to Aizat for inviting and not forgetting me.
Kathy, you've got yourself a very loving partner. How i wish i had the same. LOL.
So anyways, met Nana and Diana at Whitesands to grab some last minute stuffs. Took a cab to Pasir Ris Park and joined Aizat with his friend there. We quickly prepared the decoration of the place. I knew it wasn't gonna be that much of a surprise to Kat 'coz she's got a good sense. But i bet somehow she was surprised 'coz i'm there. hahs!
After all the photo-takings and stuffs, i called Adi. We were talking when suddenly Kathy interrupted and asked for him to come over. They chatted for awhile, i let them be. When my phone was handed back to me, i asked him if he was really coming. He thought about it for awhile 'coz he wasn't driving that night. I didn't really expect him to be there as it was very far for him. But he did, for the birthday girl and me. How sweet, right Kat? LOL.
He reached at the park around 12+ in the morning. Kathy and Aizat left us alone, to chill on the spider webs. We left the park about an hour later for supper at Teh Tarik, Afghanistan. I can see the boys are going on pretty well. I was glad. We headed to the nearest fitness corner and chill out. Kathy and Aizat left few hours later, looking really tired.
And.. i was left all alone with Adi, again. The second time we spent the night together. I was sent home, feeling pretty much happy that morning. (:

Didn't attend morning lesson just now. I couldn't get up. heh. But i went for the next lesson. And i'm super tired and sleepy now. Gonna take a short nap. Blog again soon. Take care, peeps.

Gone too soon.
Wednesday, July 22, 20096:50 PM
The song Gone Too Soon is dedicated to Ryan White, a young victim of AIDS whom MJ befriended prior to his death. MJ performed this song at the ball for former President Bill Clinton's first inauguration on 20 January 1993, where he highlighted the importance of supporting research for a cure to this disease. It was also dedicated to Wylie Draper, a dancer and actor who idolized Michael and starred in The Jacksons: An American Dream portraying MJ. Draper died December 24, 1993 from leukemia.

Like A Comet
Blazing 'Cross The Evening Sky
Gone Too Soon

Like A Rainbow
Fading In The Twinkling Of An Eye
Gone Too Soon

Shiny And Sparkly
And Splendidly Bright
Here One Day
Gone One Night

Like The Loss Of Sunlight
On A Cloudy Afternoon
Gone Too Soon

Like A Castle
Built Upon A Sandy Beach
Gone Too Soon

Like A Perfect Flower
That Is Just Beyond Your Reach
Gone Too Soon

Born To Amuse, To Inspire, To Delight
Here One Day
Gone One Night

Like A Sunset
Dying With The Rising Of The Moon
Gone Too Soon

And now, i'm dedicating it to MJ. I love you always.

Met someone new yesterday. A friend of my superhero, MSN friend of mine.
A coincidence. We knew each other for quite a long time, never once meet. I don't know if it's cool or not, though. heh. But anyways, had a great time with him. I thought we would meet for awhile. Never knew we would end up at East Coast Park listening to Misteri Jam 12 that night and got home around 5am. Thanks for everything, Adi. Meet you soon, bebeh.

Harry Potter & The Half Blood Prince
Monday, July 20, 200912:29 AM
Next in the list of my favourite songs is Ben.
Rumors said that this song was about MJ's pet friend, a rat. He was small when he found Ben, who was then named Mr Ratz, squealing around his kitchen at his family's home in Gary, Indiana. MJ would often share his stories to Ben while feeding him. Then one night, Ben was found dead by a mouse trap that was placed in the kitchen.

Ben, the two of us need look no more
We both found what we were looking for
With a friend to call my own
I'll never be alone
And you, my friend, will see
You've got a friend in me
(you've got a friend in me)

Ben, you're always running here and there
You feel you're not wanted anywhere
If you ever look behind
And don't like what you find
There's one thing you should know
You've got a place to go
(you've got a place to go)

I used to say "I" and "me"
Now it's "us", now it's "we"
I used to say "I" and "me"
Now it's "us", now it's "we"
Ben, most people would turn you away
I don't listen to a word they say
They don't see you as I do
I wish they would try to
I'm sure they'd think again
If they had a friend like Ben
(a friend) Like Ben
(like Ben) Like Ben

Harry Potter & The Half Blood Prince was interesting, but disappoints me at the end. No, i don't read any of its books but still, i must say the ending was upsetting. We are left hanging in the end. So, let's save our money and wait till the next movie comes. (:
Thank you sisters for the day out. It's been ages since we last met. I enjoyed myself pretty much. Love you both.

Stranger In Moscow.
Sunday, July 19, 20091:24 AM
Firstly, i would like to thank Kathy for the updates on MJ's funeral show the other night. I know it's been days over, but i was pretty lazy to type things out. As some of you may know that i've been somehow over-sensitive about certain issues, the fact that Kathy reminding me about the funeral show, i was seriously touched. She seemed to know how much MJ means to me. Thanks, babe. I may never knew about it until you texted me. I hardly watch TV anyways. (:

So, Patchwork Neurology's done with the final gig for now. We'll be rocking again roughly around Raya, insyallah. We're all in need of a break. It's been tough for us these few months. Nevertheless, we're still staying together as one.
Oh, i'm so looking for a part-time job now. hah!

Now, another favourite song of mine.
It is noted that in HIStory's album tracks like "Stranger in Moscow", were Jackson's response to his personal life.

In 1993, the relationship between Jackson and the press soured entirely when he was accused of child sexual abuse. Although never charged with a crime, Jackson was subject to intense media scrutiny while the criminal investigation took place. Complaints about the coverage and media included using sensational headlines to draw in readers and viewers when the content itself did not support the headline, accepting stories of Jackson's alleged criminal activity in return for money, accepting leaked material from the police investigation in return for money paid, deliberately using pictures of Jackson's appearance at its worst, a lack of objectivity and using headlines that strongly implied Jackson's guilt.

At the time, Jackson said of the media reaction, "I will say I am particularly upset by the handling of the matter by the incredible, terrible mass media. At every opportunity, the media has dissected and manipulated these allegations to reach their own conclusions".

I was wandering in the rain
Mask of life, feelin' insane
Swift and sudden fall from grace
Sunny days seem far away
Kremlin's shadow belittlin' me
Stalin's tomb won't let me be
On and on and on it came
Wish the rain would just let me

How does it feel (How does it feel)
How does it feel
How does it feel
When you're alone
And you're cold inside

Here abandoned in my fame
Armageddon of the brain
KGB was doggin' me
Take my name and just let me be
Then a begger boy called my name
Happy days will drown the pain
On and on and on it came
And again, and again, and again...
Take my name and just let me be

How does it feel (How does it feel)
How does it feel
How does it feel
How does it feel
How does it feel (How does it feel now)
How does it feel
How does it feel
When you're alone
And you're cold inside

Like stranger in Moscow
Like stranger in Moscow
We're talkin' danger
We're talkin' danger, baby
Like stranger in Moscow
We're talkin' danger
We're talkin' danger, baby
Like stranger in Moscow
I'm live in lonely
I'm live in lonely, baby
Stranger in Moscow

Imagine how humans do selfish things for money. Sigh.

p/s: Can't wait to meet my sisters tomorrow and watch Harry Porter! Yippee!

We Are The World
Friday, July 10, 20092:29 PM
We Are The World is a song written by Michael Jackson and Lionel Richie, produced and conducted by Quincy Jones and recorded by a supergroup of 45 popular musicians which includes the song writers themselves along with Stevie Wonder, Tina Turner, Billy Joel, Diana Ross and a few others with MJ's siblings, Marlon, Randy, Tito, La Toya, Janet, Jackie, also Smokey Robinson and other famous musicians as the extras.
This single was intended to raise funds to help famine-relief efforts in Ethiopia, which had experienced unusual drought and political instability in 1984/1985.
Imagine how brilliant MJ was and has ever been. He've always thought of the poor.

Here's the link to the video and the meaningful lyrics of the song. A superb combination of all the musicians. Rock and roll!

There comes a time
When we head a certain call
When the world must come together as one
There are people dying
And it's time to lend a hand to life
The greatest gift of all

We can't go on
Pretending day by day
That someone, somewhere will soon make a change
We are all a part of
God's great big family
And the truth, you know love is all we need

(Chorus)
We are the world
We are the children
We are the ones who make a brighter day
So let's start giving
There's a choice we're making
We're saving our own lives
It's true we'll make a better day
Just you and me

Send them your heart
So they'll know that someone cares
And their lives will be stronger and free
As God has shown us by turning stone to bread
So we all must lend a helping hand

Repeat Chorus

When you're down and out
There seems no hope at all
But if you just believe
There's no way we can fall
Well, well, well, well, let us realize
That a change will only come
When we stand together as one

Repeat Chorus

heal the world.
Thursday, July 09, 20092:03 PM
Here's another favourite song of mine. MJ once said that this is the song he is most proud to have created. I believe he've been trying to heal the world and make it a better place. He was trying to change it. And he did, slowly.
I teared listening to it. Thinking back on how much he've done to change the world.

There's A Place In
Your Heart
And I Know That It Is Love
And This Place Could
Be Much
Brighter Than Tomorrow
And If You Really Try
You'll Find There's No Need
To Cry
In This Place You'll Feel
There's No Hurt Or Sorrow

There Are Ways
To Get There
If You Care Enough
For The Living
Make A Little Space
Make A Better Place...

(Chorus)
Heal The World
Make It A Better Place
For You And For Me
And The Entire Human Race
There Are People Dying
If You Care Enough
For The Living
Make A Better Place
For You And For Me

If You Want To Know Why
There's A Love That
Cannot Lie
Love Is Strong
It Only Cares For
Joyful Giving
If We Try
We Shall See
In This Bliss
We Cannot Feel
Fear Or Dread
We Stop Existing And
Start Living

Then It Feels That Always
Love's Enough For
Us Growing
So Make A Better World
Make A Better World...

Repeat Chorus

And The Dream We Were
Conceived In
Will Reveal A Joyful Face
And The World We
Once Believed In
Will Shine Again In Grace
Then Why Do We Keep
Strangling Life
Wound This Earth
Crucify Its Soul
Though It's Plain To See
This World Is Heavenly
Be God's Glow

We Could Fly So High
Let Our Spirits Never Die
In My Heart
I Feel You Are All
My Brothers
Create A World With
No Fear
Together We'll Cry
Happy Tears
See The Nations Turn
Their Swords
Into Plowshares

We Could Really Get There
If You Cared Enough
For The Living
Make A Little Space
To Make A Better Place...

Repeat Chorus x3

Billie Jean
Wednesday, July 08, 20091:11 AM
Here's one of my favourite song from Michael Jackson.
It was written by Jackson and produced by Quincy Jones. The song lyrics refer to a real-life experience, in which a mentally ill female fan claimed that Jackson fathered one of her twins. I super love the bass line and MJ's vocal hiccups.

Billie Jean

She was more like a beauty queen from a movie scene
I said don't mind, but what do you mean I am the one
Who will dance on the floor in the round
She said I am the one, who will dance on the floor in the round

She told me her name was Billie Jean, as she caused a scene
Then every head turned with eyes that dreamed of being the one
Who will dance on the floor in the round

People always told me be careful of what you do
And don't go around breaking young girls' hearts
And mother always told me be careful of who you love
And be careful of what you do 'cause the lie becomes the truth

(Chorus)
Billie Jean is not my lover
She's just a girl who claims that I am the one
But the kid is not my son
She says I am the one, but the kid is not my son

For forty days and for forty nights
The law was on her side
But who can stand when she's in demand
Her schemes and plans
'Cause we danced on the floor in the round
So take my strong advice, just remember to always think twice
(Do think twice)

She told my baby we'd danced till three, then she looked at me
Then showed a photo my baby cried his eyes were like mine (oh, no!)
'Cause we danced on the floor in the round, baby

People always told me be careful of what you do
And don't go around breaking young girls' hearts
She came and stood right by me
Then the smell of sweet perfume
This happened much too soon
She called me to her room

Repeat Chorus

Exam was a disaster.
Friday, July 03, 20098:37 PM
I had my exam this afternoon.
Organizational Behaviour.
And i think i did it pretty badly.
It felt like a disaster. I remembered some but failed to answer most of them.
I just couldn't think.
Imagine this, while thinking of those answers, my mind slipped away to Michael Jackson's funeral.
I can't help but to worry how will MJ be buried. As one of the comments i read in a website, 'as long as Allah knows, we don't have to be worried. He's not dead. He's just going home.' It pleased me for a while.
And so, i am trying my very best to stop worrying and stuff.
But deep in me, i'm missing him badly.
I'm not insane, mind you. I've been obsessed to MJ since i was 3. Nobody knows except for my family. So, i don't care what others might say about me. And yeah, i'm pretty sensitive these days. The death of MJ was a real shock. I get sad easily. And of course, don't you dare talk negative of him. I might not care who you are, but i sure will erupt right in front of you 'coz people who talks about him, doesn't know the real him, and definitely has never-ending jealousy of him. He's an icon. No one ever thought about the poor until MJ brought it up and helped them in so many ways. He've such an angel's heart. And of course, singers like Usher, JT, etc. won't be well-known now, if not for MJ. The music, the moonwalk, the dance. Everyone tried to BE like him but failed. He's one and only.

And for that, i don't wanna brag about it anymore.
I love you, Mikaeel. May your soul rest in peace.

And oh, i spent my cash on a new bag, new dress, new 3/4 jeans and a skirt, those jeans material, by the way. Heh. I felt much better after doing some shopping.
I felt at ease.
